    I’m in an afghan KAL, a cowl KAL, and I’m working on a sweater for my husband! Can you tell I’m looking forward to cooler weather?!

    I can only pick one WIP??? LOL the one I’d like to get finished soon is the Lacy Market Bag from Red Heart. Another one close to my heart is to complete a partially-finished scrap afghan I found in my mom’s stuff after she died. The pattern wasn’t with it, nor the hook, but it was a simple shell pattern and I was able to figure it out and match the gauge. I also found the yarn she was using and have been adding from my own stash when needed.

    As always, there seem to be too much crochet to do and not enough time to enjoy doing it! Right now I have to put the finishing touches on a blanket for my future niece, work on a baby blanket in progress for one of the women at the senior center as a gift for her great-grandson, and a project just for me: a ruana!

    I’m knitting an afghan with cotton yarn by incorporating beach-themed dish cloth patterns to celebrate my move from hot-as-hell Georgia to beautiful Mystic, Connecticut next spring! I love the owl pin and I’ve crocheted many shawls I could use it for.

    One of my favorite of many WIPs is an afghan called the country fresh afghan… I’m making it as a surprise for a good friend of mine. I can’t wait for her to see it!

    I just finished the Owl basket. I love it so much, I’ve started a second, this one will be a birthday present for a friend’s mother who is an Owl collector! 🙂 Thank you for creating this adorable pattern!

    I crocheted a sock monkey coozie (soda can holder) from a pattern. Am not trying to create an owl coozie to match..Oldest daughter = sock monkey.. Youngest daughter = owl. Middle daughter = giraffe. Next challenge!!!

    I am currently working on a Paper Boy crochet hat for my friends new baby boy due in September. I also crocheted the Owl Basket for the new Grandmother and everyone loved it.

    My current WIP is turning the cabled owl dishcloth into a blanket for a friend. And a crocodile stitch pillow, a spiral scarf, a Red Sox themed blanket (almost done), and a host of others. I think I have a “problem” LOL.

    This Spring I made a Prayer Shawl for one of my friends who is dealing with cancer treatments. Praise the Lord, she is doing well at this time! During the summer I have done several quick crochet items such as children’s beanies for Operation Christmas Child and baby caps for our local hospital’s Labor and Delivery Unit. Now I’m looking forward to making another shawl, as I’ve just come across another lovely pattern I want to make.

    I just completed my very first shawl a couple of days ago. Now, I am going back to work on my wip which is a baby blanket!

    I am currently working on several projects. I’m crocheting a blanket and a purse and I am making a scarf in Tunisian crochet. Love the pin!

    Great giveaway! Love the owl pin! I have a couple WIP, one is an American flag afghan for my son who is an Army veteran. Also, a baby blanket for our nephew’s first child.

    My current wip is a baby blanket for one of the guys I work with and his new baby girl. When I saw this pin I knew I had to make a scarf or a shawl for my best friend. She lost her mother about 2 years ago and her mother collected owls. Now she and her daughter have a little collection of their own in rememberance of her mother. If I don’t win it, I would love to know where I can buy it.

    I’m working on a bolero. It’s made of beautiful crochet star-shaped squares in off white. That Owl Pin would look awesome with it :’}

  • Marianne

    I saw a great asymetrical shawl on Pinterest and decided on making my own. I’m working on the fly without a pattern and I’m about half way through. I’m pretty pleased at the progress and hope to be done in time for the fall weather.
