Knitcrate Reveal ~ Win a Tool Kit and eBook of patterns!

My Knitcrate is here! And there are lots of goodies in it that I will be giving away. Read on to see what I got and what you can get.

First Up: The Soothing Extra

Pretty darn yummy!
Pretty darn yummy!

Flavrz Organic Drink Mix ($2 value)

This 1 oz travel packet of Flavrz Organic drink mix is made with all natural flavors and colors, which if you are a water flavor drink connoisseur like I am, you know that is hard to come by.

I already tried it and it was quite delicious. There was no aftertaste, it was sweet and the color was a natural cherry color (no neon pink). At about $1 a packet (when you buy in bulk) if you are an organic junkie this is a great alternative to having to drink plain water on the go.

There is also a promo code from Flavrz for 25% your next purchase on their site.

Next Up: The Fun Extra and Free Patterns

Knitcrate Reveal
You’ll get both of these in the giveaway!

Up for grabs is the free eBook and Fun Extra I received this month.

The free patterns are Adventure Knitting 1 by Lee Meredith ($14 value)

These are adorable colorful knitting patterns that I would totally keep if I knitted more.

Lee also gives us a 25% off promo code for her site (which is super cute as well.) Plus $5 off her current KAL (knit along).

So much stuff!
So much stuff!

The Fun Extra is the Knitter’s Tool Tin by The Sexy Knitter ($25 value)

While I love this tin, I actually have everything I can use in it already. You can see the breakdown of what comes in it in the video below, but believe me, it has everything you could need while traveling all in a handy tin.

Check out how to win it, and the eBook, down below.

Lastly: The Yarn

Love the color names.
Love the color names.

The yarn this month is by Drew Emborsky (The “Crochet Dude”) and it’s called Sarcastic. ($36 value)

These are from the “Decades” collection and this cotton blend (50% Pima and 50% tencel) is from the 1960s. It has the cutest color names, the top one is called “twister” and the bottom is “leisure suit”.

Hand dyed in the USA, they are super soft hanks and colors are beautiful.

I have an idea for these two hanks and two other hanks I have that have a similar dye pattern (though very different colors).

You’ll have to wait and see what they will be, but I’m excited to get started on it so it should be sooner rather than later.

Now for the giveaway

Win the eBook and Knitter’s tin (which has plenty for the crocheter as well) by leaving a comment in this post about what your next cold weather project will be.

Entries will be accepted through Sunday Aug. 31st and the winner will be announced Monday, Sept.1st. Only one entry per person and only US residents please.

Check out a closer look of everything in the crate this month with the video below.

My next cold weather project will be winter hats, as my kids need new ones! I will also make fingerless gloves to match as well!

I am working on a double layer hat. Although I love in Florida I love making cold weather items for charity. I fo, low your blog already and love your patterns and tutorials.

I would love to get Emborsky’s “Sarcastic” yarn, and the kit, etc.! I crochet a lot and knit a good bit. I have made a few prayer/comfort shawls, and am going to make more. We have some skinny little old ladies where I worship (I’m old but NOT skinny! my fat keeps me warm! LOL!) and it seems someone is always needing one, and there doesn’t seem to be enough to go around. I simply use size 13 needles and about 350 yards of bulky yarn. I am also both knitting and crocheting a bunch of wash cloths (wash the dishes, wash your body, wash the car, wash the dog!) for gifts.

I am going to start a pair of fingerless gloves. I start wearing something on my hands as soon as it gets a bit cold out as I have neuropathy and can’t stand the cold on my hands. I have one pair of warm gloves and am making fingerless gloves to go over them to have fun with what I am wearing….thanks and have a good one!

My next project is going to be a wedding gift. I want to crochet an afaghan for the happy couple. I hope I will be able to find or creat a pattern for what I have in mind.

  • LaVeda

It’s time to bring out the bulky yarn an since I’m back to teaching I need short projects so I’m making some comfy cowls! It’s going to be great!

I have at least a dozen WIPs right now, but focusing on the cold weather, I will be continuing my knitting of warm caps for cancer patients for Knots of Love in California.

I am actually trying to finish up an oversized sweater that I started over a year ago. After this, I am going to try Fair Isle knitting with a Golden Pear hat pattern from Ravelry.

  • Marcia

This looks like a great give-away. I’m sure the lucky winner will be very pleased to receive it. My cold weather projects are a sweater for my daughter, a sweater for my husband, and some socks for my son.

  • Carole Rankin

I have a coat whose sleeves ride halfway up my arm. I’m knitting elbow length gloves from a yarn that is a fine weight, heathery black yarn. I’ve finished one glove and am well into the second one.
