Lastly: The Yarn
The yarn this month is by Drew Emborsky (The “Crochet Dude”) and it’s called Sarcastic. ($36 value)
These are from the “Decades” collection and this cotton blend (50% Pima and 50% tencel) is from the 1960s. It has the cutest color names, the top one is called “twister” and the bottom is “leisure suit”.
Hand dyed in the USA, they are super soft hanks and colors are beautiful.
I have an idea for these two hanks and two other hanks I have that have a similar dye pattern (though very different colors).
You’ll have to wait and see what they will be, but I’m excited to get started on it so it should be sooner rather than later.

My next cold weather project will be winter hats, as my kids need new ones! I will also make fingerless gloves to match as well!

I would love to get Emborsky’s “Sarcastic” yarn, and the kit, etc.! I crochet a lot and knit a good bit. I have made a few prayer/comfort shawls, and am going to make more. We have some skinny little old ladies where I worship (I’m old but NOT skinny! my fat keeps me warm! LOL!) and it seems someone is always needing one, and there doesn’t seem to be enough to go around. I simply use size 13 needles and about 350 yards of bulky yarn. I am also both knitting and crocheting a bunch of wash cloths (wash the dishes, wash your body, wash the car, wash the dog!) for gifts.

I am going to start a pair of fingerless gloves. I start wearing something on my hands as soon as it gets a bit cold out as I have neuropathy and can’t stand the cold on my hands. I have one pair of warm gloves and am making fingerless gloves to go over them to have fun with what I am wearing….thanks and have a good one!

I have a coat whose sleeves ride halfway up my arm. I’m knitting elbow length gloves from a yarn that is a fine weight, heathery black yarn. I’ve finished one glove and am well into the second one.
