Barely Made It ~ June’s Motif of the Month

I’m moving cross country in three month’s so my posts have been a little sparse with all the preparation and house hunting I’ve been doing. I promise to make up for it when I get settled. In the mean time, I’m still trying to keep up with my motifs of the month, even if they are incredibly late.

This one is a basic leaf (really, all I had time for this month, next month’s is much bigger), but it’s great for so many things. Use it with flower motifs or as a filler in a scarf, shawl or even blanket. It’s only one round big so it works up super fast.

Actually, this “Skinny Leaf” has all kinds of potential!
I’ve already been playing with it (in crochet thread) and could kick myself for not thinking of something like it!
So many grasses are popular garden plants right now and this “Skinny Leaf” can easily be made to resemble them in groups of “Skinny Leafs” made very long.
