Square Knitting Needles!?! – Have You Seen These?

Knitter’s Pride has supplied me with this product to give my honest review.

I was gifted the Symfonie Cubics Deluxe Interchangeable Circular Needle Set by Knitter’s Pride. If you haven’t seen these before, you’ll notice something slightly different from other interchangeable sets — the needles are square!

That’s right, the needles are square instead of round. But why? According to Knitter’s Pride, the “grip of a square shape makes them ideal for those with arthritis.” I don’t have arthritis, but I do have hand pain so I wanted to check these out and see if they would help with that pain.

I made a whole video of unboxing, how the needles look and work and my thoughts about working a whole project with them. You can watch that video below. Have you tried square needles? Let us know what you think about them below.

I have used the Addi square needles. I don’t see any benefit. They were supposed to grip stitches better but I could see no difference. I still use them when I need that sized needle but not because it provides any other benefit. FYI – I have also used Pyrm needles which are supposed to be better for hands due to their being lightweight. Again I did not see that benefit.
