First Impressions

The acrylic yarn from Temu (affiliate link) is soft to the touch and comes in a variety of colors. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the price point, but after working with it on a project, I can confidently say it’s much better than I expected. The colors are vibrant, and the yarn holds up well during the crocheting process without excessive splitting or fraying. However, each ball of yarn I worked with had at least one knot, which was a bit disappointing. Knots in acrylic yarn aren’t usually necessary, so it led me to believe that this particular line might be made from mill ends or leftover batches. While this doesn’t affect the overall usability, it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer uninterrupted skeins.

Project Inspiration: Petite Basketweave Cowl

I used the yarn to work up the free Petite Basketweave Crochet Cowl. This cowl is perfect for those looking for a textured project that’s fun and easy to work up. The yarn’s softness lends itself beautifully to this design, creating a warm and cozy accessory you’ll want to wear all winter long.
