Only two colors, that’s tough. I like a lot of color combos, but I seem to gravitate to red and black or blue and green. I do love the color combo in the yarn above.

The particular shades matter a lot, as does the purpose of the piece. If I was making something for myself and there were no other design constraints, I’d probably pick a rich medium-dark blue and a dark ruby red. But I’ve also been thinking about making a hooded cape in forest greens and browns with a lot of autumn leaf colors for accents. You know, something practical for the frigid winters we have here in Central Texas.

So many color combos…but I have to say lately it’s either red/black for a daughter and grandson who both favor that combo, or some “non-gender” combo, maybe yellow/green (?) for the babies to come that we don’t have a sex on yet.
If I think about it I guess I really don’t know! I very rarely crochet for myself so it’s always someone else’s preference. When I crochet doilies or filet it’s generally a solid color.
Oh well, I just wanted to participate for fun. I have enjoyed your blog, tutorials and pattern workshops for quite a long time and just recently made a squeak following the ” Basic Filet Crochet” tutorial. (Again, thank you so much for that!)
