Make A Unique Knit Fabric With This Zen Tutorial

The Dashes knit stitch is the next tutorial that gets the Zen treatment.

Dashes Stitch

I call this stitch the Dashes stitch because of the horizontal lines that run throughout the stockinette front. A very easy stitch pattern that works up fairly quickly.

The stockinette is broken up with the horizontal “dashes”.

Suggested Materials

Any weight yarn would work for this pattern, but make sure the yarn does not have too much texture (i.e. no boucle) or you will lose the stitch definition of the fabric. See some good examples to use that I love below.

The “Zen” Tutorial

I’ve been doing something different with some of my video tutorials. It is completely voiceless and just plays very relaxing music as it walks you through the stitches. Each stitch is worked very slowly and multiple times so you can see what needs to be done. Download the pattern before beginning to follow along.
