Temu Crochet Hooks Review: Stylish Handles and an Honest Rating
Are you curious about these Temu crochet hooks with their super cute, fancy handles? As part of the deep dive I promised in my previous Temu haul video, I recently bought a set and put them to the test. In this review, I’ll share my thoughts on their design, comfort, and overall performance, and let you know how they stack up against other hooks in my collection. Keep reading or skip to the bottom to see my video review.

I bought these Temu crochet hooks simply for their cute and unique handles. I absolutely love that each one is a different color and design. While they also come in all black, I found those to be a bit boring. The plastic is nice and doesn’t feel cheap, although there is a seam where they are joined. I don’t think this will be uncomfortable to use for a long time, but it’s something to keep in mind. Initially, I rated these hooks a 5 for style but only a 2 for the functionality I thought they would provide, landing them at a 3.5 overall.
I tried multiple sizes on a few different projects, using both cotton and acrylic yarn. Unfortunately, I discovered that the design of the hook as it transitions into the shaft has an awkward bump, which keeps the hook from flowing smoothly through the yarn. This bump made the crocheting process less enjoyable and efficient than I had hoped.
In my review video below, I even show myself using one of my favorite Tulip crochet hooks, so you can see the difference between the two. While the Temu hooks are usable, they definitely don’t work as well as higher-end hooks. However, the price was a steal at under $9 for the entire set!

They’re so cute that they will make a great decoration in your craft room if you store them hook-down, even if you probably don’t want to use them for a huge project.

Overall, these Temu crochet hooks are a charming addition to any crafter’s collection, especially if you value aesthetics. They might not replace your high-end hooks, but they’re a fun and affordable way to brighten up your crochet toolkit. What do you think of them? Let me know below in the comments.
