Are Amazon Crochet Kits Better Than Temu? I Tested This $12 Kit To Find Out

I’ve been testing a lot of questionable crochet kits lately, especially the super cheap ones from Temu, so when I spotted this $12 Amazon crochet kit, I immediately wanted to know one thing…

Was this finally going to be a cute beginner-friendly kit that actually delivered what the photos promised… or was it going to be another scam situation?

This one is a crochet coaster kit, but not just regular coasters. The finished pieces are designed to sit inside a little holder so they look like a tiny potted plant when they’re on display, which honestly might be one of the cutest crochet kit concepts I’ve seen in a while.

The listing photos looked adorable, of course. And if you’ve watched any of my other kit review videos, then you already know that means absolutely nothing until the package actually shows up.

Because these kits always make big promises online.

They claim to include everything you need.
They make the finished project look perfect.
And somehow the photos always look way more polished than reality.

So I ordered it, opened everything on camera, and put the entire kit to the test to see:

  • Did it actually include enough materials?
  • Was the yarn decent quality?
  • Were the instructions beginner friendly?
  • And most importantly… did it actually turn into the adorable plant coaster set shown in the listing photos?

I’m not spoiling the results here because honestly… you need to see this one for yourself.

If you’ve been curious about these Amazon crochet kits or wondering if they’re any better than the Temu kits I’ve been trying lately, this video is definitely worth watching.
