Caydo Electric i-Cord Knitting Tricotin Machine i1 Pro – Too Good to Be True?
I came across the Caydo Electric i-Cord Knitting Tricotin Machine i1 Pro and immediately had questions.
Not in a “wow this is amazing” kind of way… more like a “…there’s no way this is as easy as it looks” kind of way.
Because if you’ve ever made i-cords by hand, you already know the situation.
They’re not hard. They’re just… annoying.
This machine is supposed to take over the process, you feed in your yarn, turn it on, and it makes a continuous i-cord for you.
No hand cranking. No constant adjusting.
At least, that’s what it claims.
My hesitation was pretty simple.
Is it actually smooth to use, or does it jam? Does it only work with certain yarns? And is the finished cord something you’d actually use in a project?
Because faster doesn’t matter if the result isn’t usable.
I-cords are one of those things I don’t go out of my way to make unless I have to, so if something can make them quicker and more consistent, I’m interested.
But only if it actually works the way you’d want it to.
So Caydo sent me the machine (for my honest review) and I tested it with real yarn and normal expectations to see how it actually performs.
No perfect setup. Just real use.
You can see exactly how it runs and what it produces in the video below.
I’m not spoiling it here, you’ll want to see it in action.
