Yes, 3 full hanks this month!

This month’s KnitCrate has made very happy.

Not only did they fill my bag with my favorite yarn colors, but they made my life so much easier!

They now list on their insert card what the value of everything included is. Makes my life so much easier. I used to have to go look it all up myself, now I can get the reveal out to you so much faster. So let’s dig in.

Free Patterns

2 Patterns this month!
2 Patterns this month!

KnitCrate gave us 2 patterns this month and they will be included in the giveaway that I will go into more detail down below. (value $13 for both)

These beautiful knit patterns are the kind that make me want to learn to knit better.

Promo Codes this month

The card also includes three promo codes that have various values depending on what you order from them. As always I don’t put the actual promo codes here because that would be wrong. I just let you know what you can look forward to if you were to subscribe.

  1. Buy 1 get 1 free from Mindy Wilkes.
  2. Spend $50 and get $10 or spend $100 get $25 off in the KnitCrate shop.
  3. Get any 3 patterns for $6 from Heidi Nick.

Great promo codes, especially the KnitCrate one. If you haven’t checked out their shop, you are missing out. They have so many kits, yarns, and notions available, they are like a whole yarn store.

Sweet Extra

Only 120 calories in the whole bag.
Only 120 calories in the whole bag.

This month we got a huge bag of Brownie Brittle by Sheila G. ($3 value)

They have all natural ingredients and even though I’m not a fan of chocolate (lost the taste for it many years ago — lucky me), I do love me some toffee and brownies. This was so good, I was glad it was only 120 calories a bag. You feel gluttonous without the guilt.

Fun Extra

Awesome extra!
Awesome extra!

Check out these Kollage Square Circular Knitting Needles. (value $17)

These are designed to be ergonomically suited to your hands for decreased stress and strain to enable you to knit faster with uniform stitches.

I’ve always heard about square needles and wondered how well they work.

One of you lucky readers will get to find out. These are apart of the giveaway. So once you win you will have to let me know how you like them.

Check below for more info on entering.

Yarn Time

How did they know my favorite colors?
How did they know my favorite colors?

The yarn this month is 3 full hanks of Riveting Sport by Kollage. ($49 value for all)

Not only are these my two favorite colors, but I also got over 1000 yards of it. Each hank holds 350 yards of 100% recycled blue jean yarn. It’s mostly cotton (95% cotton, 5% other) and as soft as your favorite pair of jeans.

As will all the KnitCrate yarn, I have never used this yarn before so I’m very excited to try it out.

Giveaway Time

So for the knitter you will win the square Kollage Knitting Needles and the promo code for the two shawls included in the KnitCrate this month.

For the crocheter, I’m going to send you one of my favorite hooks:

The Clover Amour Crochet Hook, Size J, 6.0mm and a copy of my Verdant Shawl Pattern.

Sounds like something I should look into since I love mystery KALs.
I knit and crochet mostly hats scarves and shawls. I love lace patterns. The one in the kit looks lovely!

  • Valerie M

Knit prize. I love learning to knit new things all year round. I like to start my scarves in the summer so I have them for gifts in the fall/winter.

  • Brandy S

Hi there! I love to knit. In the summer I try to do lighter things like fingerless mitts, socks and maybe a lighter cowl. 🙂

  • Michelle Williams

I prefer Crochet and favorite thing to crochet in summer is blankets because that’s what everyone gets at Christmas… thank you for doing this giveaway

  • Annette Poteat

I just finished knitting my first top!!!! Yes, it is a big deal for me. I’m really getting into knitting now.:)

  • Becky

I like to knit lacey in warmer weather, or warmer smaller items (like hats) to prep for winter gifts. I’m interested in those square knitting needles! Thank you!

  • Barbara Ruden

What fantastic colors! I have always wondered what the recycled blue jean yarn was like to knit with. The square knitting needles look fun too. Pick me! Pick me! Pick me!

  • Cassandra Gore

I would love the knit prize. I am not too picky about what I like to knit/crochet in the summer. This summer I plan to knit a top for me, crochet a dress for my granddaughter and crochet a few baby blankets for presents.

  • Kimberly

I Mostly crochet although have given knitting a shot! This summer I will be working on baby blankets for some friends expecting new additions to their family! I have not decided whether to knit or crochet them. Most likely chrochet as I know a lot more stitches!

  • leighes

I would love the knit prize.I would like to knit anything this summer..had to take a break from knitting due to coming down with rheumatoid arthritis.

  • leighes

I would like the knit prize. I like to knit scarfs that you can also wear as a shawl. They add some pazazz to your outfit and can be pulled over your shoulders if you get too cold in the a/c

  • Valeree Stout

I’m a knitter..in the summer it is light weight scarves mostly. I’ve been exploring with bew yarn, easy patterns & a knitting loom

  • Laura Huff

I am a beginner knitter and would love to try the square needles to see if they help with uniform stitches.

  • Cherienne Whitson

I am a chronic knitter. Have been since I was 10! Love to sit and unwind from my stressful job this way.

  • amber

I’d love the knit prize. My favorite summer projects are ones that have loss if garter stitch, or in-the-round stocking knit such because it’s easy to keep track of those projects while chatting on long car trips.

  • Erika

I love knitting light weight shawls in the summer. Perfect to go over summer dresses at night. I hope I win the knitting prize!

  • paige

I’m a knitter, never quite got the hang of crochet unfortunately. I absolutely love knitting fingering weight shawls. I wear a lot of dresses and the weather is always changing where I am. It’s nice to have something light to wrap up in.

  • Elizabeth

I would prefer the knit, but would love either one!

My fav thing to make in the summer is a hat… because it doesn’t take up much room on my lap when I’m making it.

  • Tess

I mainly crochet, but I’ve been trying to learn to knit more so I’d prefer the knit prize but wont say no to the crochet one lol

It’s winter here right now so I’m crocheting a circle jacket for myself, though during the summer I’d been making 2 favourite projects,
number 1 is amigurumi’s plus i find them fun to make and not all are given away some I’ve kept 😉
Number 2 is African Flower Hexagon Motifs, a couple a day so that eventually I can join them all and make myself a king size blanket for my bed, the motif’s are easy, mindless to make and don’t make you hot since they’re small.

  • Melissa Wigren

Knit please! I like to knit Christmas presents during the summer. I’m not one to leave things until the last minute. 🙂

  • Maranda

I would love the knit prize. In the spring and summer I make little projects like narrow beaded headbands for myself and my daughter, chunky bangles, head scarfs (we both have very long hair) and whatever else she wants me to show her (I’m teaching her how to knit but she’s 10 so it’s allllll about accessories right now lol)

  • Alina

Let’s go with the knit. In the summer months my favorite things to make are lace shawls…..though I have a huge fascination with making lace year round.

  • Shirley

I like both knit and crochet. But this month let’s go for the knit prize. Making small lightweight items are great to make during the hot months of the year.

  • dystini

I prefer to knit and I knit everything in the summer. I’ve got air conditioning so it’s not uncommon for me to work on a big wool shawl. If I’m not in air conditioning then it’s socks so I don’t have all that wool on my lap.

  • yarning4asmile

I love to knit and this is my first summer to knit but I plan on making socks and toys. Last year I learned crochet and made a buch of different things from hats to gloves and toys

  • Kim d

I love to knit… This is my fist summer to knit but I want to knit socks and stuffies… I just crocheted last year and made a lot of random things 😉

Let me know what you think
