Huntington Sandals

The Huntington Sandals are strappy, velvety crochet slippers that are perfect for the warmer weather months. The multiple straps help to hug your feet so stiffening of the soles is not necessary.

They are sized for women and come in 3 sizes:
β’ Small (Shoe Size 5-6): 3.5β x 9β long
β’ Medium (Shoe Size 7-8): 3.75β x 9.5β long
β’ Large (Shoe Size 9-10): 4β x 10β long

I used Bernat Velvet Yarn in Emerald for the top sole and straps. This is one of my new favorite big box yarns. The colors are beautiful and the velvet feel is so soft. It is truly wonderful to work with. The soles were made with Caron One Pound, but any normal worsted weight yarn will work.

The pattern includes a photo tutorial on how to make the straps which are crocheted directly to the top sole. The only sewing you will have to do is join the top and bottom sole. You can get creative once you understand how the straps are made and move them wherever you like.

The soles of the slippers were made with a 6.5mm [US-K] crochet hook. The straps were made with a smaller hook to make them tighter. I used my favorite Clover Amour hook in size 5mm [US-H].
