Basketweave Stitch
There are many different ways to make the Basketweave stitch in knit – from very small to large. This stitch is on the larger side which makes it perfect for big projects like a blanket. It is a large repeat – 20 rows, but most of those are plain knit and purl rows.
Suggested Materials
Any weight yarn would work for this pattern, but make sure the yarn does not have too much texture (i.e. no boucle) or you will lose the stitch definition of the basketweave. See some good examples to use that I love below. The pattern could need blocking depending on the yarn used.

The “Zen” Tutorial
I’ve been doing something different with some of my video tutorials. It is completely voiceless and just plays very relaxing music as it walks you through the stitches. Each stitch is worked very slowly and multiple times so you can see what needs to be done. Download the pattern before beginning to follow along.
