Win This Cute Little Shawl Pin

Isn’t this cute?

I found it at the local Joanns and had to get one for myself and another for one of you.

I love that this is like an actual pin. I don’t have to worry about it falling out as I’m wearing it like a shawl stick.

It’s made by Dritz and they have a wide variety of styles (just check out Amazon to see most of them). I liked the simple design of this one.

I do so love the classic style of a triangle shaped shawl, but..I very much enjoy some of the intricate lacy, more square shaped designs as well. 🙂 Each is unique and beautiful in its own way.

I’m a real newbie, having just started learning from you in Dec, 2015, so I’m partial to rectangle shapes because that’s all I can tackle as of now! But I am so looking forward to learning so much more – MANY, MANY HUGE thanks for including directions for lefties!!

I love all types of shawls, but I think I love rectangle the most. It has a versatility that the others don’t (meaning I can wear it as a chunky scarf if I want to).

  • Dolores

I’ve mostly made triangle shawls, but I’m really starting to like long rectangle shawls. They’re just harder mentally to get through unless it’s an interesting pattern.

  • Melanie Stallings

I like triangle for wearing as a traditional shawl, but I also like rectangle because then I can wrap it around my shoulders and back under my arms and attach it behind my back for a quick makeshift shrug.

  • joyce

I like triangle shawls, although I haven’t made too many shawls. I’ve just collected lots of patterns and they are on my todo list.

  • Stacey

I like rectangular shawls. I’m new to shawl making and have yet to get a shawl pin. Thanks for the chance to win this one, it’s beautiful.

  • Nelda Lumpkin

I like triangular shawls. I am in the process of crocheting one using Noro Taiyo yarn, because I wanted warmth and sturdiness. I have recently finished a shawl using a lighter yarn that has a lacy look. This pin would look great on either shawl. Thanks for letting me enter for a chance to win this beautiful pin!

Triangle shaws, and I have made two of them. One from sock yarn in a bright multicolor, the other from a lace weight yarn in grey tones. The multicolor yarn shawl is quite large enough to tie around your waist if you would like a different look, and the grey toned lace weight goes around the shoulders. I don’t own a shawl pin, this one is quite lovely, and would beautiful on my lace weight shawl. Thank you for the opportunity to win such a lovely pin.

My favorite shawl shape is the Faroese style of shawl. I love being able to wrap the shawl around myself and tie it around my back so that my hands are free. It’s like a shawl and a poncho combined into one!

    Hi Deja,

I love triangular shawls and knitted one that this pin would look so lovely on. Thank you for being so generous by offering this to some lucky person.

I love triangle shawls, like the Virus, Butterfly, South Bay, with pretty edgings.. they’re so quaint and lovely! Give me a nice big soft one, a headband and gloves and I’ll never wear another coat! I’ve been looking for a couple of affordable shawl pins, I got desperate and made 2 S shaped ones with polymer clay but still want metal and wood ones. So nice of you to do this offer!

  • Kari

Big, rectangular, shawls. And since I’m always dipping the ends in my soup, a pin would be awesome! I’ll have to check around,

  • Debi

I have been obsessed with shawls. I am sure my husband is wondering just how many shawls does one person need.

Just got some new yarn in to make another rectangle shawl. At this point my favorite is triangle because I have two ” around the house” triangle scrap shawls and just finished a “seen in public ” black shawl.

Thanks for the chance to win.

Love this intricate floral design shawl pin with echoes of the past. Perfect with the rectangular lace shawls I prefer to knit or crochet. I especially appreciate the “safety” pin styling since I frequently lose the straight stick portion of traditional shawl closures
