Silver Spun Giveaway! ~ Win 2 Full Skeins and a Pattern ~ Over $50 Value!!

The fabulous folks over at Feel Good Yarn are giving me some yarn to giveaway. Two full skeins of Silver Spun in fact!
This is the perfect amount to make the Textable Gloves, so I’m throwing the pattern in with the yarn. See below on how to enter the giveaway.
In case you haven’t read my previous post about Silver Spun let me inform you quickly that this yarn is made with REAL silver woven in. According to the Feel Good Yarn Company
The silver content in SilverSpun makes it therapeutic and conductive. Silver kills a number of bacteria, including those that cause odor, has excellent thermal properties, is nontoxic and is perfect for those suffering from diabetes, arthritis and sensitive skin. Silver is also an excellent conductive agent thus allowing smartphone or tablet touch screen use while wearing gloves knit from the yarn. The silver is permanently adhered to the yarn and will not wash out.
I love this yarn, it’s soft, incredibly stretchy and very easy to work with. Also did I mention when you make the gloves from the pattern I’m including in the giveaway, you can use your touchscreen devices because the silver is conductive? Check out the video review below to see the gloves working with my iPhone.
You can even use the leftover yarn to sew into your other gloves to make them textable as well.
The nitty gritty of what you will win.

What a practical & attractive product! Thanks for turning us onto it! Would it work if I crocheted a little nub to go on the end of a pencil? A DIY stylus!!

Love your gloves pattern! I would definitely make them with the Silver Spun. I have arthritis in my fingers and would love to try this product for its therapeutic properties.

I think it would make a beautiful cowl and I also think it would make a great shell (sleeveless sweater).
Kristina
I could totally crochet my mom some socks to help with the swelling in her ankles/feet. She doesn’t have diabetes, but she does have swelling similar to the swelling presented with the symptoms of diabetes.

Scarf for my girls

The yarn would make a great cowl, too!

I’ve been on a slipper making kick recently but I might try my hand at some mittens… Although you can’t really go wrong with a hat! 😀

It would be a fantastic yarn to use in making ‘socks’ for amputees and partial amputees. I am really looking forward to using it to make projects for some of the great men and women who have been injured in combat while serving our Country!
Patti F.
I would probably make the fingerless gloves! The yarn is therapeutic and therefore it would allow me to keep my hands in great shape for lots more crocheting!

I love this yarn … my son has Raynaud’s Syndrome in his feet and hands. Because of the therapeutic properties I’d love to make him a pair of socks and use some leftover to put tips on his gloves. We bought him ones that have heaters in them but he can’t text or use his ipad with them on.
Amanda
What a great opportunity! Thank you!
Before I read the other comments, my first thought was socks or hats, too – due to the heat/therapeutic qualities. If I were to win, though, I’d definitely make some gloves!
Exciting! Thanks again!
Amber
Socks for my diabetic dad.
Denise
I have been looking for conducting yarn to make my own textable gloves. The ones I have now are too big for my hands and my fingers do not extend into the conducting part at the tips.
Patsy Coats
A hat or fingerless mitts
Virginia
I know others who would love the gloves. Therefore I would make other gifts if enough is left.
knittingdancer
I would knit either a cowl or hat with this yarn.
Mizmash
Because of its therapeutic features, a pair of socks sounds like a good idea. Silver socks would probably look cool too! 😁
Rebecca W
A little shawlette would probably look amazing in this, but personally I’d love to make a pair of mittens so I could use my thumbs to text while wearing them! So many times this winter I wished I had texting gloves/mittens so my poor fingers wouldn’t be frozen while I tried to make a phone call. 😛 Thanks for the opportunity to enter!
akaemi
Now that I know it conducts, gotta make gloves! Also, now that I know that this stuff exists, I think I must buy some …
Ellen Gilvary
I got this yarn in my Knitcrate and loved it! This would be so nice to win so I can make your gloves as a gift. Thanks for the opportunity Deja!
Dana Bach
I think I’d make a headband with a matching necklace to go with it. Although, the gloves are a fantastic option as well!
Melissa
Thanks for the chance to win the lovely yarn and pattern! For accessories, I think some type of a necklace, maybe even with beadwork added to enhance the silver. But, I also think a top for evening wear would be nice!
Rose Scott
I would make some lovely jewelry out of this yarn — perhaps a bangle and a necklace to match to show off the lovely silver.
Julie B Green
I think a belt made out of silver spun would be awesome!
